Ban the use of police horses in large protests
To stop using horses as a method of deterrent/intimidation during protests, large gathering and riots.
I am a veterinary student in England and we are taught that horses are always unpredictable no matter how domesticated or ‘trained’ they are.
In crowds with loud noises, flashing lights and often physical attacks horses are likely to spook and run often injuring itself, the rider and anyone in its path.
This was seen at the black lives matter protest in Whitehall (June 2020) with a police officer being thrown off her horse after it spooked.
