Increase the teaching of Black History in the national curriculum
We would like black history to be a compulsory part of the curriculum before GCSE. This would include teaching in detail about the effects of colonialism and the slave trade and how it has had an impact on today's society.
As current events have shown, racism is still a huge problem in our society today. Education is key in the eradication of racist mindsets and our progression into a more accepting society. We want to give Black History the position and respect it deserves in order to fully integrate it into British society.
