The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions on whether to arrest, fine or prosecute alleged offenders is a matter for local police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the UK Government or Parliament.
Any civil action against protestors or the organises of the protests would be a matter for the individual local authority, not the Government or House of Commons.
