Protect our Historical Monuments and Street Names from Destruction
This petition is to stop the demolition of Historical Monuments and removal of Historic Roads names relating to British Historic figures because of Political Correctness and Racial Integration, These Monuments and Road Names allow our Country to reflect on the good and bad throughout History
Our Historical Monuments which are placed throughout the country are there to represent The History of Britain and tell the story of the Greatest Good and Greatest Failures of our great nation.
From Churchill to Mandela to Ghandi they show struggles, pain, war and the Greatest our country has.
Destroying these monuments means that education cannot be passed onto future generations to understand what out great nation has been able to achieve and overcome throughout history

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about individual historical monuments, statues, plaques and street names are a matter for the local authority in which they are located and private landowners, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you want to raise concerns about a particular historical monument or statue you should contact your local authority about this.
The Local Government Association has published an advice note to help councils work to ensure all sections of the community feel heard by decision-makers and each other: www.local.gov.uk/topics/community-safety/statues
We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
