To remove all UK landmarks that recognise Slave Traders. Black Lives Matter.
To conduct a complete review of UK landmarks to discover those that recognise the slave trade and glorify slave traders. To officially recognise that these monuments are no longer relevant in modern Britain and should be removed from the fabric of UK society. Black Lives Matter.
These monuments may be part of UK history and memorialise famous benefactors but they serve as permanent reminders of a heinous time, glorify wrongful acts and a criminal trade. The removal of Colston’s statue by force is also criminal and should not be repeated. With a government act, protesters, victims of racism and slavery will have more confidence that their voices are heard and understood. Removal of these landmarks will stand for a greater moment in our history. Black Lives Matter.
