Petition Action

Change intake day from September to January

Petition Details

Change the new school year from September to January. I have a child who was born in August and she has struggled in school compared to my child who was October born who seems to be doing much better at school. If she had been in the year below I feel like she would be at the appropriate place

Additional Information

I would like them to consider changing the start of the school year, I feel like given the current situation at the moment it would benefit everybody. Kids in year 6 going to year 7 will have enough time to do the transition period they should have been doing whilst schools were closed down, exams could be moved meaning if children go back in September they could go back to their same years and have more time to catch up on what they have missed whilst schools were closed.
