Remove the statue of the slave-trader George Washington from Trafalgar Square.
George Washington inherited 10 slaves at the age of 11. He traded and owned slaves for the rest of his life.
In 1921 the Commonwealth of Virginia, whose 1902 constitution had disenfranchised 90% of the black population, donated the statue in Trafalgar Square.
It should be removed and returned.
Now is the perfect time to get rid of this symbol of American racist oppression.
