Petition Action

Make it illegal for companies which use public funds to pay bonuses to CEO&Board

Petition Details

Board and CEO bonuses should be based on performance and they should not be paid from Taxpayers money and when company is bailed out by gov. Moreover, if company makes its staff redundant or imposes short time working or uses Taxpayer money (incl. Furlough) it is immoral to pay bonuses to CEO/Board.

Additional Information

Make it illegal for companies to pay bonuses to company board including CEO or dividends to shareholders in financial year in which
- any form of public help is received (including furlough)
- any form of public help is not repaid (if repay was stipulated when
bailout was agreed & received).
- company made its staff redundant or imposed short time working.

Paying bonuses & dividends in such circumstances is immoral and forms abuse of public funding (Taxpayers money).
