Petition Action

Make change.org petitions formally recognised by parliament.

Petition Details

The government currently only accept petitions through this website, however most petitions are held and popularised through change.org, these petitions are just as valid and must be formally recognised by parliament.

Additional Information

By not allowing change.org petitions to be debated in parliament the government is creating an illusion of democracy. So many people like myself believed change.org petitions to be up for debate in parliament, as long as they reached a certain number of signatures, these petitions are just as valid as those held on this website and they must be treated as such.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
