Make it an offence to desecrate war memorials and flags of the United Kingdom

Petition Details

We would like the Government to pass a bill that makes it an offence to desecrate any war memorial or flags of the United Kingdom. This should carry a fixed sentence for anyone who shows contempt towards our memorials / flagsĀ

Additional Information

The Government needs to protect our culture, heritage and identity.

We have all seen the recent criminal damage being caused across the UK during protests and making it an offence will help deter people from such behaviour and send out a clear signal that this will not be tolerated here in the UK.
