BAME label is outdated and needs urgent review!
The term/label BAME is divisive and creates further issues than resolve. This is insulting and creates a white vs colour issue! We need an open conversation on how we resolve and create an inclusive Britain.
We need an urgent review on how we address this and we should think carefully of further labelling and the impact. Banding different ethnic groups together doesn't help, it merely reinforces issue of white vs colour through the label of BAME. It is also unfair to band minorities under one label.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government is not responsible for determining how ethnic minorities are referred to.
The Government's guidance on writing about ethnicity already states that it does not use BAME or BME for a number of reasons: www.ethnicity-facts-figures.service.gov.uk/style-guide/writing-about-ethnicity
