Petition Action

Mandatory education and guidance on ethnic hair

Petition Details

Compulsory education on the differences between human hair in the National curriculum and guidance for employers is needed.

Discrimination is most likely due to lack of knowledge and ignorance towards the variety in human beings.

Acknowledgement of the nature of afro Caribbean hair would help!

Additional Information

Introduce extensive and informative modules on afro Caribbean hair in schools.

In the workplace training is needed on discrimination against black people as well as information regarding the nature of hair in all its varieties. Overall resulting in the understanding that there are different types of hair that act in different ways.

We cannot make excuses for our ignorance any longer.
