Petition Action

Do not scrap the GRA reforms or remove existing protections for trans people.

Petition Details

Reports in the press suggest that the proposals to reform the Gender Recognition Act are being scrapped, and that existing protections for trans people will be removed. We are asking the Government to instead continue with the GRA reforms and to leave existing protections in place.

Additional Information

We are asking the Government to do this because the proposed GRA reforms would be positive for trans people, and the threat of taking away existing protections would be disastrous. 70% of responses to the GRA consultation supported the reforms.
