Allow shops to open without restrictions on Sunday but with worker protections
Allow all shops and other consumer businesses to open on Sundays without restrictions but add legislation to allow workers to opt-out of Sunday working without being disadvantaged in any way.
This would increase freedom and choice for all but should particularly help during COVID-19 economic recovery.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Workers are already able to opt out of Sunday working and cannot be discriminated against if they do so. You can find out more here:
www.gov.uk/sunday-working
You could start a petition calling for the removal of restrictions on Sunday opening times, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
