Petition Action

Reinstate the plan to allow transgender people to self-define their legal gender

Petition Details

Reinstate the plans set in place in May’s government which would allow transgender people to legally self-define their gender, instead of having to get a medical diagnosis. This will begin to end the discrimination within healthcare and society of transgender people

Additional Information

Tied to this will be no further policing of female-only spaces to exclude trans women, as trans women are women and deserve to be respected in their own spaces. Transphobia is rife in the U.K. and we must bring an end to it, systemically and socially.
