Petition Action

Make GCSE and A level exams open book.

Petition Details

Due to the current situation regarding COVID-19, Year 10 and 12 students haven't been able to go to school. This means that they are severely disadvantaged when it comes to their exams. To make examinations fairer, I propose that we have exams where we can bring our texts in.

Additional Information

The government has the power to grant this and make examinations fairer for students across the country.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Decisions about exams are a matter for exam boards and individual schools, and are not a matter for the UK Government or Parliament. Ofqual has launched a consultation on 2021 exams and assessments, which you can read about here: www.gov.uk/government/news/ofqual-launches-consultation-on-2021-exams-and-assessments
