Petition Action

Reverse the scrapping of the changes to Gender Recognition Act

Petition Details

I am asking the Government to reverse the decision to shelve the reform to the Gender Recognition Act and continue the consultation as planned.

Additional Information

The reform to the Gender Recognition act was scrapped on the basis that within the 70% of over 100,000 people who agreed with the petition were mostly from "trans activist groups".
Myself and many others believe this to be an incorrect reason to scrap a 2 year consultation, especially when they reached out to trans people specifically to answer the consultation.
