Extend free school meal vouchers for vulnerable children over summer holidays.
Have Government continue its voucher scheme for children who qualify for free school meals in England until all year groups are back to school.
The free school meals provision in Scotland and Wales remains but in England will stop. This should be a central government responsibility. For many families, the extra cost of feeding their children over the summer holidays will push them to breaking point. Everything should be done to support children and families, who usually qualify. The budget required for continung the free school meals provision is a drop in the ocean compared to the bailout packages for big business.
