Keep the homeless of the streets after hotels contract has ended
On 2nd May Robert Jenrick said
“plan how we can ensure that as many people as possible can move into the long term sustainable and safe accommodation that they deserve once the pandemic is over. We’re determined that as few people as possible will return to life on the streets.”
The contracts with hoteliers in many areas have ended and in others will end very soon as they prepare to go back to business. Many community services are still shut. Street life will be even tougher.
We want the government to announce a new plan to take street homeless back off the streets and provide longer term and more sustainable accommodation for all homeless and vulnerably housed people.
