Make DVNR illegal
DVNR (Digital Video Noise Reduction) is the process of applying a one-size fits all filter to media footage in order to remove grain.
In order to do this, most processes merely blur the image, eradicating all detail and leave people looking like bad wax models and animation in tatters.
Animation is worst hit by this, with whole lines often being either obscured or worse, with certain more complex algorithms that search for grain, have lines brutally removed after being mistaken.
I am asking the government to make this brutal, vicious act, that defiles the appearance of our fine actors and art, illegal to preserve our fine media heritage in all of its meticulous details.
