Erect an enduring monument to honor SAM SHARPE of Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Fund a monument to Sam Sharpe of Montego Bay in Central London
Justice after almost 200 years and a historic sign to descendants of enslaved Africans brought to Western Hemisphere on British slavery. Sharpe was illegally hanged by the British government in 1832 for the crime of seeking freedom and wages for enslaved Africans in Jamaica.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about individual statues are a matter for the local authority in which they may be located and private landowners, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you want to request a new statue be erected you should contact your local authority about this.
