Build a skate park in Hyde Park
As you may know, skateboarding has been on the rise especially with the addition of the sport to the olympics. Many young people are flooding the streets with their skateboards and clogging the pavements.
A skatepark offers a place for skateboarders to go without risking hurting themselves or others in the streets with lots of pedestrians around. Additionally, a place for young people to work out energy or train may be beneficial for mental health among young people. We would like the local council to build a skatepark similar to the one in Guildford.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Hyde Park is managed by the Royal Parks, so any decision about constructing a skate park in Hyde Park would be a matter for them, not the Government or House of Commons.
