Rename Bristol's Colston Hall 'The Keith Tippett Centre'.
Ensure that The Colston Hall, named after infamous slave merchant Edward Colston, is renamed after internationally celebrated Bristol Musician Keith Tippett - d. 14/06/20 - a keyboard artist, composer and educator with a 50-year-track record of exemplary cross-cultural activity in music.
The local authorities and management commitee have clearly been unable to move fast enough, and now there is civil unrest in Bristol. Central Government and Parliament would easily be able to push this wholly appropriate renaming through. It would properly address an urgent issue that is now being watched by the whole country.
