Allow parents to register their newborn babies.
The government needs to clarify when parents will be allowed to register the births of their child/ren. It is not right that non-essential businesses can reopen but yet birth registrations are prohibited.
My son was born in April and has still not had his birth registered as the local council is shut for all registrations except death registration. Whilst non-essential businesses are being allowed to open, a fundamental right, such as a birth registration, is still being denied to hundreds of parents.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a matter for individual local authorities, not the UK Government or Parliament.
However, we have opened this petition which would achieve a similar goal, which you may wish to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/315284.
