EUROPEAN UNION - public must be properly informed before any referendum
If the public are to be asked to decide on any future treaty affecting Britain's relationship with Europe, surely it is imperative that voters are provided with accurate and truthful information regarding the pros and cons of what are complex issues affecting the country and its citizens. If the only information available is selective propaganda of dubious accuracy provided by elements of the media, who may have their own agenda to serve, and can afford to spend money on publicising their campaign, how can the electorate be expected to reach a reasoned decision on matters of huge political and economic importance?
