Pregnant women have been forgotten about during this virus.
While pubs, restaurants, cafes and amusement parks are opening; women who are pregnant are still not allowed to have a partner/support during scans and prenatal checkups.
Allow pregnant women to bring a partner during all prenatal care, scans and check ups.
While pubs, restaurants and amusement parks are set to open soon, women who are pregnant are still not allowed to bring a partner to prenatal care and baby scans; including gender scans. It is a parents right to be at a scan, checkup or any other pregnancy related care. Due to COVID-19, women who are pregnant; have had to do this alone. Let them bring a partner for support and care.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about who can attend scans are a matter for the NHS, not the UK Government or House of Commons.
On 5 June, the NHS’s suspension of hospital visiting was lifted. This means that visiting is now subject to local discretion by trusts and other NHS bodies. You should check with your maternity team and sonography unit for their policy on visitors attending antenatal appointments, including scans.
