A bank holiday to represent all Black people in this Country.

Petition Details

The UK ended slavery in 1833, Black people fought by our side in both World Wars making the same sacrifices as our fathers. I want a Bank Holiday to represent their contribution to society, a day to celebrate & be proud. Just One day for Equality

Additional Information

Black lives matter sent a shock wave around the world, yet nothing has changed. I want history lessons to include contributions made by Black people as a simple act of appreciation will go a long way to show we care. To also show how as a United Kingdom - Slavery was forced to end - Now let's end Racism.
My wife is from Africa & I have a mixed race son, they are now British as are millions of Black People in the UK, equality & mitral respect will build a better future.
