West Sussex County Council have Clearly not thought this through in the slightest, by applying cycling lanes to arterial routes that are inappropriate it will cause massive traffic flow problems, approval for this plan has been achieved undemocratically not consulting residents who will reject it

Additional Information

The county council have acted without consultation or researching figures of traffic volume and frequency of cyclists on this route

the £107k estimate Funding for It has come from central government to put this in place so Central government need to Scrutinise and Address West Sussex County Councils Rationale for provision, when a simple continuation of the existing pathway and a dedicated cycle lane east of the town in nomansland adjacent to the new brooklands park development would suffice.
