Call out ongoing & escalating mistreatment of the Uighur people by China.
The British Government is due to commence trade negotiations with the People’s Republic of China and is well placed to build an international consensus to exert diplomatic pressure on China to end the ethnic persecution of its Muslim minorities.
The Chinese state has imprisoned 1m ethnic Uighurs into re-education camps and has adopted of policy of reproductive control by sterilising female Uighurs, in a bid to eradicate both their culture and reduce their population. This vulnerable minority lacks a voice and Britain is well placed to express its grave concern about protecting their human rights to the People’s Republic of China in a bid to eliminate persecution.
