Petition Action

Make Unpaid Internships Illegal

Petition Details

Unpaid internships allow privileged students who do not need the money to get ahead of those who need to be paid in order to afford rent, food and tuition. It is a constant cycle that allows wealthier students to capitalise on an opportunity that others simply cannot afford.

Additional Information

All internships should provide the minimum wage that is implemented with all other jobs nationwide and anyone who does not comply with this should be fined and the person who is not paid should be reimbursed for their labour.
