Allow Support of those expecting to attend NHS scans & births during pandemic
Allow a partner, parent or friend that the pregnant person is living with to attend these scans/births so that support is there.
Being pregnant and giving birth is a daunting time, especially for new parents. To do this alone, without any form of support - whether it be a partner, parent or friend - is not a reality many want to face. If the unfortunate circumstance occurred where unwanted news was needed to be delivered, the pregnant person has to face that alone. The unnecessary stress this is putting those pregnant under at a time where they should be most happy and excited is unacceptable.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Individual hospitals and clinics, not the UK Government or House of Commons, decide who can attend births, scans and antenatal appointments.
You should check with your maternity team and sonography unit for their policy.
