Petition Action

Start allowing dad's to scans especially if they are living with their partners

Petition Details

Start allowing dad's to attend scans of there unborn babies instead of denying them!

Additional Information

I want the government to open there eyes!! Why is it fair that they are reopening pubs, restaurants and hair dresses when NONE OF THESE ARE ESSENTIAL but are still denying dad's to their babies scans especially when they are living in the same household as their partner. Dad's have a right to be at the scans just as much as mothers do and I think it's utterly disgusting that they are still being denied to scans. Something needs to be done!!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Decisions about who can attend scans are a matter for the NHS, not the UK Government or House of Commons.

On 5 June, the NHS’s suspension of hospital visiting was lifted. This means that visiting is now subject to local discretion by trusts and other NHS bodies. You should check with your maternity team and sonography unit for their policy on visitors attending antenatal appointments, including scans.
