Continue free parking at hospitals for all NHS staff in England until 2021.
Free hospital parking for NHS staff in England will end in all but “certain circumstances” once the coronavirus pandemic begins to ease, the government has said.
The government should ensure free parking for all NHS staff until at least 2021. NHS should not have to pay exorbitant parking charges.
Despite the easing of lockdown measures in the UK, the coronavirus crisis is far from over for NHS staff as the long term ramifications of COVID-19 become more apparent.
The government has rightly praised the NHS for their amazing efforts during the pandemic, however taking away free parking for NHS staff at hospitals will make their jobs more difficult.
The NHS need real, tangible support from the government at this time, not just performative gestures.
