Allow parents to take legal action against knife crime
Parents/guardians should be able to report a crime against their children and have it followed up with legal action regardless to whether the child is willing to press charges or not. As it stands, if a child is stabbed or robbed at knife point no legal action is taken unless the minor agrees.
I personally know of many people who have fallen victim to knife crime but have been too scared to speak out against it, consequently, preventing legal action from being taken. Thus allowing the same delinquents to commit the same crimes to multiple victims over and over again, giving them a sense of immunity against the law.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise.
Anyone can report a crime to the police, and it's a decision for the police, CPS and courts on whether someone is prosecuted and charged, not the UK Government or Parliament.
