Make teaching self defence a compulsory part of the PE curriculum in schools
The government should implement a revision of the national curriculum to include teaching self defence in PE classes, ensuring students have a basic knowledge in situational awareness, discipline and defence against sexual violence, assault, weapons etc.
Education teaches the importance of a good diet, exercise and sexual health, however it fails to educate students about the importance of being able to defend oneself, having lessons on self defence will help to ensure that the youth of the UK are equipped to deal with conflict safely and may even lead to improved engagement and discipline in lessons.
