Petition Action

Prevent local authorities imposing congestion charges outside 6am-7pm Mon-Fri

Petition Details

I want parliament to pass primary legislation to prevent any UK local authorities imposing congestion charges that apply outside the hours of 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday.

Additional Information

I want Parliament to pass the necessary legislation to prevent the London Mayor and other City Mayors and local authorities from imposing congestion charges between the hours of 6am and 7pm on weekdays or any time on a Saturday or Sunday.

This should help the recovery of use by the public of restaurants, theatres, shops, museums and art galleries that have seen their income and level of use by the general public decimated as a result of the COVID-19 emergency shutdown period.
