Mandatory country of manufacture identification on all goods sold in UK.
Make it mandatory that all goods offered for sale in the UK must clearly state, both on packaging and any form of advertising, the country of manufacture and parent company details. This will allow consumers to make an informed decision when choosing products.
Currently we, as consumers, have very little means of knowing the origin of many of the products available for sale, with identifying the parent company and country of manufacture made almost impossible. In todays environment many of us would like, and have a right, to make an informed decision on the products we purchase, whether it be for ethical, environmental, or other reasons. Without clear information available we are left buying products "blindly". This situation must change.
