Reopen Castle Street, Cardiff to traffic, ban Council making it an eating area
Cardiff Council has shut Castle Street in Cardiff to make it a seating area for restaurants during the easing of lockdown. There are no restaurants there. Adjoining streets Working Street, Queen Street and High Street are pedestrianised and could be used. This causes traffic chaos all over the city.
Force Cardiff County Council to reopen this main road to traffic to reduce congestion all over the city and reduce emissions caused by this unnecessary action. It is also forcing vunerable people onto public transport where social distancing cannot be adhered to.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about town planning are a matter for individual local authorities, and local government is a devolved matter so the responsibility of the Welsh Government, not the UK Government or House of Commons.
If you are unhappy with a decision by Cardiff Council you should contact the council or your local Councillor directly.
