to stop discrimination of mental health in parents 18-30 from local authorities
mental health is a very common diagnosis in the 21sr generation of adults ages from 18 to 30 whom are suffering from mental health issues that do not stop them having the abilities to parent there children we want this to stop and previous court preceding cases investigated
we are easy targets for local authorities to abuse there rights to target minor mental health issues that have no risks to children but actually is a benefit for the young parents to who have mental health issues actually incur more service mental health issues when local authorities threatened to take children or to abuse the rights to try to seek the children I myself fell victim of this and have lived with acquiring mental health issues due to this with no support from the LA

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned about how social services handle cases where a parent has mental health problems, but we can only accept petitions that request a specific action by the Government, and it is not clear exactly what action you want the Government to take.
A council can only apply for a care order if it believes a child is suffering or at risk of suffering significant harm, and care orders are made by the courts, which are independent of the Government and House of Commons. Because we're not sure exactly what action you want the Government to take I'm afraid we can't accept your petition.
If you are unhappy with how your local authority's social services have dealt with your case you could complain about this. The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has published advice on how to complain about child social services, which you can read here: www.lgo.org.uk/make-a-complaint/fact-sheets/social-care/children-s-care-services
You might also like to raise your case with your local MP, who might be able to take up your case on your behalf. You can find contact details for your local MP here: members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP
