Petition Action

Investigate factories in Leicester for modern day slavery

Petition Details

Further investigate and bring justice to the thousands of individuals that are being used for modern day slavery in factories all around Leicester

Additional Information

There was only a short article in the news regarding modern day slavery in Leicester and that was it. This is a very serious matter, 100's and 1000's of individuals are suffering in silence. The situation will not reform unless the Government/Parliament take this seriously and step in.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Taking action in relation to suspected breaches of the law are a matter for the police, Crown Prosecution Service and the courts, and not the Government or House of Commons.

If you have witnessed a crime you should report this to the police: www.met.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/
