Public inquiry into Covid-19 pandemic immediately with the aim of saving lives
Lessons must be learnt about how the handling of the pandemic has led to the UK having the highest death toll in Europe.
If we can identify what went wrong in the UK, in a timely manner we can take action to prevent further avoidable deaths from future waves of the virus.
Launch a public inquiry immediately, not in months or years’ time when it will be too late for those who catch the virus in the coming months.
By learning from our mistakes made in the management of the Covid-19 pandemic during the first wave, we can save lives and prevent disability for survivors.
It is important that the enquiry publishes their findings quickly or reports findings as the enquiry progresses, as time is limited. We already seem to be experiencing a second wave.
