Petition Action

Lower the state pension age to 60.

Petition Details

Allow people to take retirement if they wish and receive their state retirement pension at 60, this will create more jobs and opportunities for the younger generation.

Additional Information

People are having to work later and later in their life, this is not always by choice but necessity and can create adverse health problems. If people both me and women were allowed the choice of taking their state retirement pension at 60, this could have a huge positive impact on people’s physical and mental health and remove increasing strain for the NHS. It also provides greater opportunities for the younger generation by opening up the job market and creating opportunities.
