Allow remote learning to continue in September for all students

Petition Details

We want the Government to not make it compulsory for students to return to school in September and allow them to continue learning remotely if they or their parents choose. Children who are at high risk or shielding should not be forced to return to school.

Additional Information

This article shows that Covid-19 cases have increased since schools have started opening again:https://schoolsweek.co.uk/suspected-covid-19-outbreaks-in-schools-almost-doubles/
For students who are at high risk or shielding a high risk family member, catching and transmitting Covid-19 can be a matter of life and death. Remote learning should remain available and students should not be punished for not returning to school.
