Include nurses (all fields of practice) in the latest pay increase announcement
So the governments treasury has announced huge “inflation busting” pay increases for doctors, teachers, police officers, prison guards however they are stating nurses are already on a 3 year pay increase plan.
The government and the unions representing the nurses of the UK need to review the pay increase for nurses !
Nurses and healthcare assistants have been working throughout the pandemic on the front line (all fields of practice) and were not included in the pay increase !
This needs to be revisited and nurses and care assistance recognised for the work they have done !
The pay increase plan that was agreed in 2018 did not include for a unprecedented pandemic
