Include all NHS staff who worked throughout the pandemic in the 3.1% pay rise.
The Government have announced that public service workers will be receiving a 3.1% pay rise 2020/2021 to thank them for their continued help during the pandemic, the NHS are not included due to having a three year pay deal agreed in 2018. So far, over 300 NHS workers lost their lives to Covid-19.
Our NHS is essential to the daily running of our country, just as is the Police, Military services and other key workers. the pandemic has demonstrated how fortunate we are as a nation to have a NHS.
During the initial stages of the pandemic, the government promoted heavily the importance of protecting the NHS, however it feels that our efforts have been taken for granted.
Over 300 NHS workers have lost their lives to Covid-19 and many others have lost precious time with their loved ones.
