This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand you are concerned about knife crime, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It is already illegal to possess or threaten with an offensive weapon, and the intent to cause injury is already considered when charging and sentencing.

You may wish to sign this petition:
Introduce a minimum sentence for carrying a knife, equal to carrying a firearm. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300054
