Make Level 3 first aid compulsory in secondary schools and above.

Petition Details

Level 3 First Aid training be compulsory for all young people, available in secondary schools and above;that this training also be made available to the general public free of charge;that each estate and housing complex has at least one person per 50 residents (1:50) with the Level 3 training

Additional Information

Statistics show that the average ambulance response time is 8 minutes for a life-threatening call -
• Femoral artery puncture 5 minutes fatal depending on severity.
• Brachial artery puncture 90 seconds (1 and a half minutes)
• Jugular artery puncture 1-2 minutes
• Severe Heart attack or heart stops for any reason: once a heart has stopped one has 15 minutes to help the patient remain alive and stop the brain from dying, which can be done with good quality CPR according to the BBC website.
