Petition Action

Pass a law that prevents anyone entering illegally being granted leave to remain

Petition Details

The government has a sufficient majority to pass emergency legislation that prevents anyone from entering to seek asylum or the right to remain. We need to override existing legislation until the coastal border is secured

Additional Information

The Government is squandering resources in defending the coast from illegal migrants where it could pass a law that means that attempting to enter this way guarantees they can never have the right to remain. This will have the net effect of removing the incentives to cross and prevent the illegal trade in human trafficking
