This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Workers are not formally classed as key workers in the UK. The Government did publish a list of critical workers, in the context of providing guidance on who could access schools or educational settings during the outbreak: www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision#critical-workers

This list already covers people working in education and childcare, which could include youth workers. Schools and other educational settings are now being opened up more widely, but if you want the Government to explicitly add youth workers to the list of workers who are entitled to access schools or educational settings during the outbreak you could start a petition about this.

If you want the Government to take some other action in respect of youth workers, you could start a petition about this, but would need to be clear exactly what action you want the Government to take.
