Recognise Unpaid Carers.A Fair amount reflecting the commitment & care provided

Petition Details

The UK Government to match the Scottish Supplementary payments (£230.10 Biannually) for unpaid Carer’s in England & Wales. Furthermore award carer’s the Covid19 Payment for the added responsibilities, over & above their regular commitments providing quality care, as they have in done in Scotland.

Additional Information

Unpaid Careers save Govt £132Bn a year. They're expected to survive on £67pw (under £1.90ph).Some are Mentally & Physically exhausted spending 35+ hrs a week,24/7 Unable to,or can’t take paid employment & about 50% of working age carers in households with no income. It's unacceptable that any carer should suffer financially when providing such a valued service.Gov’t have to recognise the vital contribution & sacrifices they make daily.Without them full time paid care would have to be provided.
